For people who sell to new trucking companies

Be the first good call a new carrier gets.

A new trucking company buys insurance, factoring, an ELD, fuel cards and compliance help in its first 30 days. CarrierDawn reads every new USDOT registration FMCSA publishes, works out what each carrier runs, scores it for what you sell, and emails you a short, ranked list every morning.

No credit card. Every Pro feature during the trial. Covering New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas.

How it works

Two steps take ten minutes. The third happens every weekday morning without you.

1

Tell us what you sell and where

Pick your business type, states, cities or zip prefixes, and the carriers you want: for hire or private, interstate or local, fleet size, cargo, MC authority status.

2

We read FMCSA every day

New USDOT registrations come from FMCSA's public Company Census File; MC authority and insurance status come from FMCSA's operating-authority data. Each carrier is classified once and scored for you.

3

A ranked list lands before 9 a.m.

The carriers that fit, best first, each with its reasons. Work them in the dashboard: save, contact, follow up, win. When a carrier's authority goes active or insurance is filed, you hear about it.

Who it's for

Scoring is tuned separately for each of these, because a good lead for a factoring company is a poor one for a truck dealer.

Trucking insurance agencies

For-hire carriers with MC authority pending and no liability insurance filed yet: the policy that decides whether the authority goes active.

Freight factoring

For-hire owner-operators and small fleets hauling general freight, reefer or flatbed, flagged again the day their authority goes active.

ELD and telematics

Interstate property carriers with CDL drivers who need a registered ELD from their first load.

Fuel cards

Interstate for-hire carriers, ranked by fleet size and freight, before they settle on a card.

DOT compliance and permits

BOC-3, UCR, IFTA/IRP, drug and alcohol programs and new-entrant audit prep for carriers that just registered.

Truck and trailer dealers

New carriers with zero to two power units that will need equipment, financing or a lease.

What makes it different

A list of new USDOT numbers is easy to buy. Knowing which twenty to call today, and what to say, is the part that sells.

A fit score for your kind of business

Each carrier gets a plain-English segment ("owner-operator reefer, interstate"), an equipment guess, and a 0 to 100 score for insurance, factoring, ELD, fuel cards, compliance and dealers. Every score comes with its reasons.

Authority and insurance status

We join each new registration to FMCSA's operating-authority data: MC pending or active, liability insurance filed or not. Insurance agents see who still needs a policy; factoring companies see who is ready to haul.

Status updates, not just new names

When a carrier you already have gets its authority granted or files insurance, it shows up in your next digest. A second, better-timed reason to call.

Red flags up front

Prior revoked USDOT numbers, the same operator behind several new registrations, and addresses shared by many carriers are flagged before you spend time on them.

Outreach that doesn't sound like a scam

New carriers are flooded with fake "FMCSA" calls. One click writes a short, honest email, voicemail and call opener from the facts on file, with placeholders for your details.

It learns from you

Mark carriers useful or irrelevant. Similar carriers move up or down in your ranking from the next morning.

Pipeline, reminders, suppression

Move carriers from inbox to contacted, meeting, won or lost; set a follow-up date and get reminded. Paste your existing clients' USDOT numbers and they never show up.

Questions people ask

Where does the data come from?

From FMCSA, the federal agency that registers motor carriers, through its public open-data program on data.transportation.gov: the Company Census File (every USDOT registration) and the Motus operating-authority file (MC numbers, status and insurance on file). We do not scrape private sites or buy lists. Every carrier links to its public SAFER Company Snapshot.

How fresh is it?

FMCSA refreshes these files every day from a day-old copy of its database. A carrier that registers on Monday usually appears in Wednesday's digest, and we re-check authority and insurance status daily for its first 60 days.

Is it legal to contact these carriers?

USDOT registrations are public records, and FMCSA itself tells new registrants that private vendors may contact them. You are responsible for doing it lawfully: follow CAN-SPAM for email, and the TCPA plus federal and state do-not-call rules for calls and texts. Many new owner-operators list a personal cell phone, so dial by hand, scrub against the do-not-call registry, and never use autodialers or prerecorded messages without consent. Never imply you are FMCSA or the DOT.

What is fact and what is an AI guess?

The name, USDOT number, registration date, address, officer, fleet size, cargo, operation type, MC authority and insurance on file come straight from FMCSA and are shown as the public record. The segment label, equipment guess, fit scores and summary are inferred by Claude (Anthropic's AI) from those facts. Treat them as a starting point, and check before you rely on them.

Do I get phone numbers and email addresses?

On Pro, yes, when the carrier listed them on its FMCSA registration (almost all new registrations do). We do not buy or append contact data from anywhere else.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime, from Settings. There is no contract. If you cancel during the trial you are never charged.
